How to copy files faster on that computer

Today I will be introducing you to a new tool (or not for old users) which will help you copy files between folders or drives on your computer or removable storage device(s) faster and without errors. That cool stuff for today is called TeraCopy. For those running versions of Microsoft OS, windows, you will find this tool very useful especially if you are moving large files around in your computer.

A common complaint for users of newer versions of Windows is the slow copy speed, especially when transferring lots of files over a network for instance. Hence, if you want to speed up your copying or if you regularly transfer large amounts of data and have to stop the process to perform some other disk-intensive task, this program may be just what you need to be more productive with time.

TeraCopy is designed to copy and move files at the maximum possible speed. Personally I have seen my files copied at over about 20MB/s! and another user, Richard Hoefer, has this to say on TeraCopy web page: "Your app did in 30 hours what has been taking me weeks and weeks to do piecemeal at a time. The amount of time I wasted in aborted processes and babysitting file copies easily cost me thousands of dollars in lost productivity and delays in work delivery."

Again TeraCopy skips bad files during the copying process, and then displays them at the end of the transfer so that you can see which ones need attention. TeraCopy can automatically check the copied files for errors by calculating their CRC checksum values. It also provides a lot more information about the files being copied than its Windows counterpart. TeraCopy integrates with Windows Explorer's right-click menu and can be set as the default copy handler if you so wish.

Why you should get TeraCopy
  •  TeraCopy uses dynamically adjusted buffers to reduce the seek times. Asynchronous copying speeds up the file transfer between two physical hard drives.
  • In its Interactive file list, TeraCopy shows the failed file transfers and lets you fix the problem and recopy only the problem files.
  • The Shell integration means TeraCopy can completely replace the Explorer copy and move functions, in turn enabling you to work with files as usual.
  • It has Full Unicode support.
  • Windows 8 x64 support.
  • TeraCopy uses dynamically adjusted buffers to reduce the seek times. Asynchronous copying speeds up the file transfer between two physical hard drives.
TeraCopy is free for non-commercial use only. For commercial use you need to buy a license. To download TeraCopy, please use this link or http://bit.ly/copywithease
